HTMLVideoElement.getVideoPlaybackQuality

The HTMLVideoElement method getVideoPlaybackQuality() creates and returns a VideoPlaybackQuality object containing metrics about the current quality of the video.

Syntax

videoPQ = videoElement.getVideoPlaybackQuality();

Return value

A VideoPlaybackQuality object providing information about the video element's current playback quality.

Example

var videoElt = document.getElementById('my_vid');
var quality = videoElt.getVideoPlaybackQuality();

alert(quality.creationTime);

Limited support to a whitelist of sites, for example YouTube, Netflix, and other popular streaming sites. The whitelist was removed when Media Source Extensions was enabled by default in Firefox 42.
